§ 19-3. Lot drainage.

  • (a)

    Positive slope of finish grade shall be provided to direct water away from all foundations.

    (b)

    Side lot swales shall be utilized, as necessary, to direct lot drainage to right-of-way or other drainage easements.

    (c)

    Roof drains shall be directed away from structures and into swales or other means shall be used to prevent soil erosion and to direct water from the building foundation.

    (d)

    Driveway pipe shall be of the proper size to accept drainage waters. Minimum diameter of pipe shall be 18 inches, and be class three concrete pipe. Metal pipe or HDPE may be substituted for concrete pipe. If HDPE pipe is used, the ends shall be protected by concrete headwalls.

    (e)

    All driveway and service drive piping shall be installed on appropriate elevation and grade to prevent standing water.
